LA28 Olympic Venues: Transportation Guide by Venue Cluster

Where every 2028 Olympic sport will be held, organized by LA28’s official venue zones — with getting-there notes and group charter planning tips for each cluster. Last verified October 2, 2026.

Plan Your Games Around Zones, Not Single Venues

The 2028 Olympic Games run July 14–30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games August 15–27. Rather than one Olympic Park, LA28 has spread competition across more than 40 existing venues, grouped into zones: a downtown indoor cluster, Exposition Park, Inglewood, Carson, a long Long Beach waterfront, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, and a ring of coastal and inland sites from Venice to Anaheim. No new permanent venues are being built.

For anyone moving a group — a sponsor’s guests, a federation delegation, a corporate hospitality program, a school or fan club — the zone is the unit that matters. Venues within a zone can usually share a vehicle and a hotel base; moving between zones on the same day is where schedules break. LA28 describes a transit-first Games, with public transit, venue-serving shuttle stops and park-and-ride, and security perimeters will restrict private vehicles near venues. That makes a pre-planned group transport program the difference between seeing two sessions in a day and seeing one.

How to use this guide

  • Find your sessions’ venues below and note which zone each belongs to.
  • Base your group in hotels near your busiest zone and keep cross-zone moves to one per day where you can.
  • Read the group transport notes for each zone, then ask us for a plan — we operate at many of these venues every week.

Source and freshness: Venue assignments below follow LA28’s official Olympic Games map (dated June 8, 2026), the LA28 Paralympic venue plan (June 2025) and LA28’s ceremonies announcement (May 2025). LA28 states that all names and venues are subject to change, and Games-time transit, perimeter and drop-off details have not been fully published. Last verified: October 2, 2026. Venue names in the official plan are sponsor-neutral (for example “2028 Stadium” for SoFi Stadium and “DTLA Arena” for Crypto.com Arena); we list both.

Venue Clusters

LA28 Venues by Zone

01

DTLA Zone (Downtown Los Angeles)

The densest cluster of indoor competition in the Games, all within a few miles of each other in Downtown LA.

  • DTLA Arena (Crypto.com Arena) — artistic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, boxing final stages. Crypto.com Arena group transportation
  • LA Convention Center, Halls 1–3 — fencing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, wrestling. LA Convention Center shuttles
  • Peacock Theater — boxing preliminary stages, weightlifting.
  • Dodger Stadium — baseball. Dodger Stadium charters
  • Paralympics: the Convention Center hosts boccia, para judo, para table tennis, para taekwondo and wheelchair fencing; the Arena hosts wheelchair basketball; Peacock Theater hosts goalball.

Group transport notes: The Arena, Convention Center and Peacock Theater sit side by side in the L.A. Live district, so a single downtown hotel block can be served by short, high-frequency loops. Expect the tightest curb space in the Games here — multiple sessions at three venues can let out at once. Dodger Stadium is a separate hilltop site with limited access roads; plan it as its own movement with pre-arranged staging. See our Downtown LA charter page.

02

Exposition Park Zone

Just south of downtown, anchored by the stadium that will host its third Olympic Games.

  • LA Memorial Coliseum — athletics (track & field), the Closing Ceremony on July 30, and part of the Opening Ceremony on July 14 (a dual-venue opening shared with the Inglewood stadium).
  • Exposition Park Stadium (BMO Stadium) — flag football, lacrosse.
  • Galen Center (USC) — badminton, rhythmic gymnastics.
  • Paralympics: para athletics and the Paralympic Closing Ceremony at the Coliseum; wheelchair rugby and para badminton at the USC venue.

Group transport notes: Exposition Park is served by Metro’s E Line, and it is a short drive from the DTLA cluster, so many programs will pair the two. Ceremony nights and evening athletics sessions will produce the largest single-site crowds of the Games — plan generous buffers for both arrival and departure, and expect drop-off points to be set by the security perimeter, not by the venue gate.

03

Inglewood Zone (SoFi Stadium & Intuit Dome)

Two of the newest venues in the region, side by side in the Hollywood Park district minutes from LAX.

  • 2028 Stadium (SoFi Stadium) — swimming, in a configuration LA28 calls the largest swimming venue in Olympic history (about 38,000 seats), plus the Olympic Opening Ceremony (shared with the Coliseum) and the Paralympic Opening Ceremony on August 15. SoFi Stadium shuttles
  • Intuit Dome — basketball.

What about the Kia Forum? The Forum appeared in earlier versions of the LA28 plan, but in LA28’s June 2024 venue update gymnastics moved to the DTLA Arena and basketball to Intuit Dome. The Forum does not appear on LA28’s current Olympic Games map. Because it sits in the same Inglewood district as SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome, though, any Forum event during the Games will be affected by Olympic traffic and perimeters. See Kia Forum transportation, Kia Forum to SoFi Stadium and LAX to the Kia Forum.

Group transport notes: Inglewood is the closest cluster to LAX, which makes it a natural first stop for arriving international groups — see LAX group transfers. There is no Metro rail station at the stadium door; we know the Hollywood Park bus staging and post-event exit routes from weekly SoFi operations, but Games-time staging will be set by the organizers’ traffic plan.

04

Carson Zone

A self-contained sports campus in Carson, in the South Bay.

  • Carson Stadium (Dignity Health Sports Park) — archery, rugby sevens.
  • Carson Field — hockey.
  • Carson Courts — tennis.
  • Carson Velodrome — track cycling.
  • Paralympics: para archery, wheelchair tennis, para track cycling.

Group transport notes: Carson is freeway-served rather than rail-served, so organized group transport matters more here than at the downtown venues. Multiple sports on one campus means a single dedicated vehicle can serve a hospitality group for a full competition day. It pairs naturally with Long Beach and Inglewood on multi-venue itineraries.

05

Long Beach Zone & Port of Los Angeles

The largest waterfront cluster of the Games, stretching from downtown Long Beach to Belmont Shore and Marine Stadium.

  • Long Beach Arena — handball.
  • Long Beach Aquatics Center — artistic swimming, water polo.
  • Long Beach Climbing Theater — sport climbing.
  • Long Beach Target Shooting Hall — shooting (rifle & pistol).
  • Alamitos Beach Stadium — beach volleyball.
  • Belmont Shore — open water swimming, coastal rowing beach sprints, sailing (windsurfing & kite).
  • Marine Stadium — rowing, canoe sprint.
  • Port of Los Angeles (its own zone) — sailing (dinghy, skiff & multihull).
  • Paralympics: para swimming and para climbing at the Convention Center lot, shooting para sport at the Convention Center, sitting volleyball at the Arena, blind football at Alamitos Beach, para rowing and para canoe at Marine Stadium.

Group transport notes: Long Beach venues are spread along several miles of shoreline, so “Long Beach” on a ticket is not one drop-off. Metro’s A Line reaches downtown Long Beach, but Belmont Shore and Marine Stadium are well east of it. Long Beach hotels can anchor a program that never touches central LA traffic. See our Long Beach charter page.

06

Pasadena Zone & Arcadia

Historic venues in the San Gabriel Valley, including the stadium hosting the football (soccer) medal rounds.

  • Rose Bowl Stadium — football (soccer) final stages, including the men’s gold medal match on July 28 and the women’s on July 29, 2028. Rose Bowl transportation
  • Rose Bowl Aquatics Center — diving.
  • Santa Anita Park (Arcadia Zone) — equestrian, plus para equestrian during the Paralympics.

Group transport notes: The Rose Bowl sits in the Arroyo Seco with no rail station at the venue, and Pasadena already manages large Rose Bowl crowds with shuttles and road closures. A soccer final and a diving session can run on the same site, so expect shared perimeters. See our Pasadena charter page.

07

Valley, Universal City & Griffith Park Zones

Urban park sports and road cycling across the San Fernando Valley and the Hollywood Hills.

  • Valley Complexes 1–4 (Sepulveda Basin) — 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle, BMX racing, modern pentathlon, skateboarding (park and street).
  • Comcast Squash Center at Universal Studios — squash. Universal Studios group transportation
  • Griffith Observatory — road race finish and time trial finish (cycling).
  • LA Zoo — time trial start (cycling).

Group transport notes: The Sepulveda Basin is a large temporary park venue with several competition areas; confirm which complex your session is in before you plan a drop-off. Road cycling closes roads rather than filling seats — expect day-of closures to affect routes across the Hollywood Hills, not just spectator access.

08

Venice, Riviera & Trestles Beach Zones

Coastal and course venues on the Westside and in south Orange County.

  • Venice Beach — triathlon.
  • Venice Beach Boardwalk — marathon start and road race start.
  • Riviera Country Club (Pacific Palisades) — golf.
  • Trestles State Beach (San Clemente) — surfing.

Group transport notes: Venice and Riviera are close to Santa Monica and Westside hotels but served by narrow local streets; endurance events like the marathon and triathlon close roads early in the morning. Trestles is roughly 60 miles south of downtown LA, so it is a full-day outing — build it as a dedicated charter rather than a loop.

09

Anaheim, Pomona, Whittier Narrows & City of Industry Zones

Eastern venues in Orange County and the San Gabriel Valley.

  • Honda Center (Anaheim) — indoor volleyball. See our Anaheim charter page.
  • Fairgrounds Cricket Stadium (Pomona) — cricket.
  • Whittier Narrows Clay Shooting Center (South El Monte) — shooting (shotgun).
  • Industry Hills MTB Course (City of Industry) — mountain bike.

Group transport notes: These venues are spread out and freeway-dependent. Groups staying in Anaheim or Orange County can attend volleyball without crossing into central LA at all; Pomona and Industry Hills are better reached from East LA or the San Gabriel Valley.

10

Outside Southern California: Oklahoma City & Football (Soccer) Host Cities

A handful of events are staged outside the region.

  • Oklahoma City — softball (OKC Softball Park) and canoe slalom (OKC Whitewater Center), moved from Los Angeles in LA28’s June 2024 venue update.
  • Football (soccer) preliminary stages — stadiums in New York, Columbus, St. Louis, Nashville, San José and San Diego, announced February 2026, before the medal rounds return to the Rose Bowl.
  • To be confirmed: LA28’s current map lists the race walk and the marathon finish as venues still to be confirmed.

Group transport notes: GTS Charter operates in Southern California. For San Diego matches we can run round-trip charters from Los Angeles hotels; for other cities, ask us and we will tell you plainly whether it makes sense.

Common Questions

LA28 Venue FAQs

01

How many venues will the LA28 Olympics use?

LA28 describes a plan of more than 40 competition venues across Greater Los Angeles and beyond, with no new permanent venues built for the Games. Most are organized into zones — DTLA, Exposition Park, Inglewood, Carson, Long Beach, Pasadena, the Valley and others — plus softball and canoe slalom in Oklahoma City and preliminary football (soccer) matches in six other U.S. cities.

02

Is the Kia Forum an Olympic venue for LA 2028?

Not on the current plan. The Kia Forum was part of earlier LA28 venue plans, but LA28’s June 2024 update moved gymnastics to the DTLA Arena (Crypto.com Arena) and basketball to Intuit Dome, and the Forum does not appear on LA28’s current Olympic Games map. It sits in the same Inglewood district as SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome, so any event there during the Games will be affected by Olympic traffic and security perimeters.

03

What are the transport options for Olympic venues in Los Angeles?

LA28 describes a transit-first Games: spectators are expected to use public transit, venue-serving shuttle stops and park-and-ride options, and security perimeters will restrict private vehicles near venues. Some clusters, such as DTLA and Exposition Park, are rail-served; others, such as Carson, the Rose Bowl, Trestles and the eastern venues, depend on roads and shuttles. For organized groups, a pre-booked charter coach or shuttle program is the most predictable option.

04

Which LA28 venues are closest to LAX?

The Inglewood Zone — SoFi Stadium (swimming and the Opening Ceremony) and Intuit Dome (basketball) — is the closest cluster to LAX, followed by the Westside venues at Venice and Riviera and the Carson and Exposition Park zones. Arriving groups can often be transferred from LAX straight to a hotel near their first venue.

05

Will the LA28 venue plan change again?

Possibly. LA28’s own venue map is labeled “all names and venues subject to change,” and the plan has changed several times since the bid, including the June 2024 and April 2025 updates and the February 2026 football (soccer) announcement. This guide was last verified against LA28’s map dated June 8, 2026, and we will update it as the plan evolves.
