GTS Charter was founded in Los Angeles in 2000. At the time, the charter transportation industry operated on a simple transactional model: you called, they confirmed, a bus arrived. If it worked, great. If it didn't, you called again. The people running programs — corporate facilities managers, school administrators, event coordinators — were expected to absorb the uncertainty. The company that sent the bus considered its obligation complete at the moment of dispatch.

We disagreed with that model. We believed that a transportation company's obligation didn't end with sending a driver — it began there. That the right approach involved understanding how an organization actually moved, anticipating what could change, preparing for what could go wrong, and communicating proactively at every step. We called this managed transportation. We've been building it in Los Angeles since 2000.

The city has changed significantly in 25 years. SoFi Stadium, the Purple Line extension, the complete rebuild of LAX, the emergence of new corporate campuses across Culver City and El Segundo, the growth of the entertainment district in Hollywood — GTS has operated through all of it. We've watched loading zones change, permit requirements evolve, and traffic patterns shift. Every GTS driver holds a valid commercial driver's license and a current medical certificate. Background checks are conducted without exception. Training covers professional presentation, route knowledge for the Los Angeles metro area, client communication protocols, and the operational standards specific to each service category — corporate, educational, entertainment, and events.

Many of our drivers have been with GTS for years. In an industry characterized by high turnover, that continuity is not incidental. Every client is our most important client.

Bain & Company and a 28-student field trip receive the same vehicle inspection, the same background-checked driver, and the same operations contact. The size of the booking has never determined the standard of care at GTS. It never will.

The backup is already in position.

We do not prepare for emergencies. We prevent them. Backup vehicles are pre-positioned before events begin. Contingency plans are built into every program design. In 25 years, GTS has never left a client stranded because a primary vehicle failed. That record is the result of deliberate preparation — not good fortune.

We earn the next booking.
